Long description
Cooking pot, with a spherical body beaten out of clay tempered with organic matter, and a coiled wide straight neck. Slipped with red haematite and mica. A black mark indicates that it was fired on its side "'mouth over base for a red oxidised interior" (ref. 4). Graphite bands decorate the rim and neck-body junction, and the pattern impressed on the body during its rotation on a fibre pounding mat. [ASh [OPS move] 09/03/2016]
