- Knife [.1] with convex cutting edge and horn handle, in a hide sheath [.2] lined with wood. The handle is riveted together. It has an expanded guard and butt. Both of these are made from layers of ?horn sandwiched together. The leather sheath is laced, or widely stitched up the back with a leather thong. [SM 18/06/2007]
