Long description
Bamboo cylinder shuttle with roundly tapered head. Half of the shuttle has had part of the surface shaved or removed, exposing a lighter shade. Lighter half decorated with several incised bands, rectangles of original surface, cross hatching, chequered triangle patterns, floral motifs, animal figures (fish, birds and mammals, crustaceans, and more) and branching lines. Drilled holes on either side midway along the shuttle, with yarn inserted through. [1928.69.976 .2] inserted inside. [IL [OPS Move] 31/3/2017]
