- Cast of a terracotta figure from Nok. It depicts the upper body and head of a figure, the original terracotta having broken below this. The figure wears a circular, ribbed hat, decorated on top with circle designs. The brow is marked with lines of incised zigzags. An object appears to be slung over the left shoulder. One of sixteen casts of Nok terracottas purchased from the British Museum in two batches of eight (on 27 May 1965 and 11 May 1967); two of the sixteen were apparently never received (see unsigned and undated note in Related Documents file). [JC 3/11/2000]

1967.17.3.2Lid for a circular, carved wooden food bowl. The lid is carved with images of a king and queen, the king holding a detailed depiction of a flintlock gun.
