Description
Fillister plane.
Long description
Fillister plane with angled, straight edged blade. The body is made from two pieces of wood with a third piece attached with three brass screws underneath. This can be moved to change the location of the blade on the wood that will be planed. The blade is held in place with a wooden wedge. The body has a brass depth gauge on one side. A brass screw with a large end is attached to the top of the plane. A smaller steel blade is attached in front of the main blade. It is also held in place with a wooden wedge. The plane is stamped with the name "[?]F JAMES" in several places and "GREENSLADE BRISTOL" [SM (Verve) 20/01/2015]
