Research and responses

This textile was seen on a research visit by Khesheli Chishi and Kitoli Naje Sema Naga women from Nagaland and Vibha Joshi on the 23/24th October 2012. They commented that this cloth would be worn as a skirt by a rich man's wife. Vibha has the name of who the skirt was owned/given by. [FB 26/10/2012]

This textile was seen by Ngutoli Y Swu (a Sümi Naga researcher) on a research visit between 17-19 January 2023. The current correct spelling of the village where it comes from is Sukhalu. [BLJS 19/01/2023]
