Research and responses

Information from Dr Vibha Joshi, as published in the Renchen Women Welfare Society's 'Lotha Naga Textiles & Patterns': "Also known as Shipang (Ndrung villages). Worn by girls before puberty."

This skirt was viewed during a virtual interview with the designer Mrs Abeni TCK Lotha, organised by the Talking Threads project on 27th July 2021. Mrs Abeni noted that this type of skirt is young by girls before they get married.

For the Zoom recording and the full transcript of the meeting please see the Talking Threads project file.
