- Long description
- Carved and painted wooden figure of a standing woman with a separately carved child on her back, held firmly in a carrier made from a strip of white and brown fur. The figures have been carved in separate pieces and joined with nails. Both figures are painted brown, with short hair painted black, and the woman wears a skirt painted black. The eyes and teeth have been made separately and set into the face. The figure has tubular ear ornaments of bamboo and wears two necklace of small glass beads, one red, the other black and white.
