- Description
- Tin folding lantern. Rectangular metal box with oval handle and incised bands around the edge. One lid has the image of a crowned candle lantern etched onto a dark background. The other lid is just the dark material. When the small button in the edge is depressed on lid opens and two framed panes pop out, attached at right angles. (One pane still has a clear piece of plastic present.) A spring loaded candle socket unfolds forming a base. The other lid opens to reveal a box section for holding matches and/or candles, complete with a grooved striking surface. [MOBB [OPS move] 17/06/2016]
