Long description
Metal dagger made in one piece with ring handle and pointed, leaf-shaped blade. The ring handle comprises an oval loop which is decorated on the outer edge with a band of incised chevrons within two longitudinal grooves. Towards the blade the handle has incised transverse grooves, a design of oblique lines and chevrons and cross-hatching. Where the handle meets the blade is a guard formed of two projecting points. The leaf-shaped blade is flat with a central rib. It tapers towards an elongated point. [JMC 27/6/2018]
