Long description
Wooden stool, cotton-reel shaped. It comprises a circular, concave seat and smaller circular base, both of which flare out from the central support which has a rounded expansion in the middle. There is a large square perforation through the middle of the expansion. A triangular section has been cut out of the seat and the edge of the seat is decorated with oblique incised lines and cross-hatching. The underside of the base has a central pointed quatrefoil recession and the top of the base is decorated with five sets of five grooves running towards the centre. [JC [OPS Move] 8/5/2017]
