Research and responses

Nakhon Si Thammarat was often called Ligor until the early 20th century. The manufacture of Thai nielloware (a type of metalwork) began in the area. Niello is a black metallic alloy of sulfur with silver, copper, or lead that is used to fill designs that have been engraved on the surface of a metal (usually silver) object.
