Long description
Dagger [.1] with inscribed two edged blade and bone hilt, in a decorated leather sheath [.2] with a leather carrying loop. The blade tapers to a pointed tip. The inscription is in ?Arabic and has been defaced on one side. The hilt has a counterguard and a hemispherical piece of wood has been attached to the end. The sheath is made of leather and is lined with cardboard and textile. The tip is rounded and has become detached from one surface of the sheath. The carrying loop is attached near the mouth and was used to carry the knife on the arm. [SM 15/06/2007]
