Description
Brass clip for wax taper. Circular, spring-loaded taper holder with decorative handles, mounted on a rod set into the centre of a circular, expanded foot with decorative handle attached. [MOBB [OPS move] 21/2/2017]
Long description
There is a decorative upside-down pine-cone shaped, flat, finial at the top of the central rod. The handles of the taper holder are curved, and the central part of the taper holders are incised with three bands. There is an expanded ridge towards the bottom of the stem and the base itself is flat at the top then expands via concave sides to the bottom. The handle is thin, and hook shaped and screwed to the expanded portion of the base. [MOBB [OPS move] 21/2/2017]
