Research and responses

This object was viewed by members of the Fan Circle International during a visit in May 2012. They made the following comments: This fan was made in the 1840s. It is not painted but a hand-coloured litho print. The inscription 'Palamede de Visconty' points to a print by an early 19th century engraver, probably a copy after a painting. [El.B 06/08/2012]
