- Long description
- Balance of brass metal with sovereign, and half sovereign sockets at one end, a fulcrum, and a cylindrical weight. The balance is inscribed with the name 'MEARS' over the fulcrum, and 'SOVEREIGN 1' and "SOVEREIGN 1/2' inscribed on the coin sockets. The sockets are perforated at the centre, and bisected across the diameter by slits. [LKG 01/02/2010]
