- Long description
- Sword [.1] with single edged fluted blade, rhinoceros horn grip and counterguard with three quillons. With sheath [.2]. The counterguard, quillons and base of the blade are inlaid with gold in a scrolling pattern. The spine of the blade appears to have been gilded, but this has mostly rubbed off. The quillons are curved and point along the blade. Each is rectangular in section with a bulbous end. There is a bolster of ?stamped ?silver between the grip and the blade. [SM 26/04/2007]
