Research and responses

In a sale catalogue for a sale at Stevens on 25 June 1918 [copy in the Balfour papers, PRM ms collections) there is an item, '121 Stamped and coloured leather razor-case a very early and interesting specimen ...' It is possible that this item is that item. The item is marked '18/- in pencil. If it is this item then Edward Bidwell had previously owned it [AP 31/10/2005]

These razors are as likely to have been used in England as in any other part of the British Isles and I have therefore included it in the English ethnography project [AP 25/07/2006]
