Long description
Chopping-sword with elaborately-curved iron blade, iron bound grip and triple-knobbed pommel. The blade is single edged. The blunt edge has two shallow concave sections and a square ended projection, each with a blunt projecting spike, while along the same distance the blade edge is slightly curved. The tip is then a large 'C' shape and is sharp on the outer edge. The blade is decorated on both sides with deeply incised short diagonal lines, crosshatching and crescent shapes. The handle is made of wood with a grip bound with strips of iron. [SM 14/06/2007]
