Long description
Canoe prow ornament made from wood in the form of some kind of animal with detached finial. One end has an animal tail, body and two feet which evolves into organic flowing shapes that incorporate an open mouth with tongue and two eyes. There is a metal hook on one end of the ornament. It is primarily carved from one piece of wood with some of the scrolling ornamentation and the animal's tail made from separate pieces attached to the main section with joints and wooden pegs.
