Long description
Rectangular basket. Light brown material; the bottom is woven with concentric rectangles around two squares composed of triangles in the centre. The shape of the bottom is reinforced in the interior with two pieces of brown ?cane tied to the longer sides. The sides are primarily a twill weave but are decorated with three horizontal bands of zig-zag patterning. The rim is reinforced with a framework of bent ?cane tied to it both on the interior and exterior. The lid associated with this object is 1948.6.48 .7 .2. [MOBB [OPS move] 17/11/2016]
