- Long description
- Pottery doll of a man with squeaking mechanism. He wears a painted red jacket with a bright green neck border. The figure has been moulded with his hands joined at his chest, holding a painted red-orange object. His torso and legs are made of separate pieces of clay, and joined by a piece of cloth which has been securely fixed to the bottom of the torso and top of the legs. This allows the torso and leg sections to be pulled apart and pushed together. The figure's face is painted white with large pink spots on each cheek. The legs are of a greenish -orange and the figure's right foot has broken off at the tip. The figure's hair has been painted in black, and on the back of the head there is a patch of blue paint. The reverse side of the figure is unpainted save for this blue patch. [LKG 11/11/2009]
