- Hemp shoe sandals a line of hemp strings running from the sole to a cord from an upper round the toe. The cord is attached to strings at the sides of the heel and to a stiff thicker cord round the heel attached at the back to a strut. At the end of the toe where the strings part slightly there are 4 rather thicker ones covered with paper
