Long description
Picture of Kali. Printed in red, blue, black and yellow ink. The figure has been printed in black and then coloured over the top. The figure has been shown with four hands, coloured red, and tongue hanging out. The tongue has also been painted over in red. The figure's gown has a design of many mustachioed faces around the neckline and this has a red band painted along its bottom edge. The figure's skirt has been painted over with vertical blue and red stipes and its head band has been highlighted in yellow. Above this yellow head band is a blue band and over this a red semi-circle. The figure wears a large nose ring with a blue bead attached and has a hairline of radiating black spikes. At the bottom right corner of the painting a small head has been drawn beneath the figure's bottom left hand. [LKG 18/11/2009]
