Research and responses

Related Documents File - Various pieces of correspondence regarding the donation of this collection. One letter, dated 2 October 1943, is from E. Woodall: 'When my brother (Herbert J. Woodall, A.R.C.S.) passed away in August he directed that such of his Chinese & Indian curiosities as were suitable should go to your Museum. There do not seem to be many of them but some are rather interesting and I shall be glad to hear from you as to whether they are suitable for your museum or whether they would be more useful elsewhere. ...'

Also included are envelopes in which other pieces of documentation might once have been held, and a sketch drawing of a basketry mat. [MOB 8/1/2002]

'List of curios': identification of items in Woodall collection by the 'Exers. of the late Herbert J. Woodall, A.R.C.Sc.' estate. [GI 21/1/2002]
