Long description
Folding wooden Qur'an stand made from two interlocking sections which form an X shape when open and lie flat for storage. The stand is elaborately decorated with carved foliate designs. The top section is carved with larger stems with buds and maple leaves with smaller foliate stems in the spaces surrounding them. The bottom section is carved with openwork iris and smaller foliate design. Lightly incised scales on the outer edge of the stand. [EH [OPS Move] 14/7/2017]
