- Long description
- Picture on talc, depicting a group around a large white well with a harnessed white ox to either side of the well. One man is standing on the side of the well, he wears short white trousers and a red turban. A man stands beside the ox on the left, he wears a short white coat with a green belt, short purple trousers, and a red turban. He holds a whip in his left hand. Between this man and the figure standing on the well another man has been painted, he wears a purple turban, red sash and white trousers. Two women are painted in the scene, one on each side of the well. Both wear red sari dresses with green sleeves and carry yellow vessels on their heads. Trees and vegetation have been painted on the horizon line. Written in pencil beneath the image is '[?]Purkally drawing water'.
