Painted wooden dao holder [El.B 27/2/2007]
Long description
Painted wooden dao holder. Wooden rectangular block, one side concave with incised pattern: two rows of dots-and-circles, painted red and green, triangles with cross-hatching and two converging stripes of incised lines along the short sides. A rectangular slit goes through the whole block. Two flowers have been painted beside the slit. A rectangle has been hollowed out on one side. Two small rectangular holes, pierce the small sides to connect with the hollow, with flowers painted next to the holes. The whole object has been painted with a varnish except for the side with the hollowed out rectangle. [El.B 27/2/2007]
