Description
Wooden armlet, worn by men [RTS 22/3/2004].
Long description
Roughly circular annular armlet carved from a single piece of wood; all surfaces have been cut flat, creating a rectangular section. The execution is irregular, particuarly on the inner face, and the thickness of the object varies. The original colour of the wood appears to be a light yellowish brown (Pantone 465C); this has been left visible on the outer face, with all other surfaces stained a darker brown (Pantone black 4C). These have also been polished. The object is complete and intact. The length across the outside edge of the armlet is 94.5 mm, its outer width 90.7 mm, the inside diameter 67 mm, thickness 14.5 mm and height 20.3 mm, with a weight of 35.9 grams [RTS 22/3/2004].
