Long description
Sword [.1] with single edged blade and carved wooden hilt with rattan and cane basketry grip. [For sheath 1907.75.1 .2] The blade expands along its length, but the spine curves down towards the cutting edge at the tip. The hilt is decoratively carved above the grip and projects to one side. It has a short hair tassel that is bound on to the end with string. [SM 06/09/2007]
